31.10.2011 - APM WinMachine v. 10.1 is released
APM WinMachine 2010 v. 10.1
New Features and FUNCTIONALiTY
APMStructure 3D
Strength and dynamic analisys of parts and structures by finite element method
- Single object selection and rectangular selection commands are joined to a universal selection command.
- Enhancedobjectshighlighting.
- Modifiedcommandssequence. The “selection” operation is available at the first stage of all modification modes. “Enter” or “Space” pressing switch a mode to the next stage. Right mouse button returns a mode to the previous mode stage.
- Modified «Edit» command – the keyboard enter is now available.
- Enhanced model rotation in 3D.
- New commands to set standard views.
- Additional view filters to display vertical, horizontal and inclined bars.
- A leader can now be placed on a “deformed” model result map.
- Arbitrary color levels are available for result maps.
- Modified animation dialog for forced oscillations results.
- Thereleasesarenowavailableforplates. It lets to model plate glide or hinge connection with other elements.
- New mode for linear distributed force on group of plates.
- New command to split “slab” object into separated plate elements.
- Plate information is added in quantity survey.
- Eigen frequencies calculation of free structure is available.
- Groups for the same type foundations are added.
- Unified mode for rods and plates intersection
- Any results are now available for forced oscillation without recalculation the same way as for static analysis.
- New parameter – Minimum value of modal mass to take into account for any dynamic load case. This threshold value let ignore eigen shapes with modal mass less the specified value
- New type of dynamic load “Seismic load by response spectrum” is available.
- Optimized algorithm for steel rod cross-section automatic selection. Extra criteria for Russian code checking are added.
- Export model in APM Graph file (*.agr) is added.
- Export in DXF files is divided to 2D and 3D files.
- Optimized static analysis to solve the problems with millions degrees of freedom.
- Optimized modal analysis to solve large DOF problems.
- Optimized heat analysis for large DOF problems by supporting sparse matrixes.
- Multicore calculation support for modal analysis.
- Multicore calculation support for forced oscillation, external forces/stresses in beams and shells.
- Acceleration of some editor operations (model rotation, copy/paste, connection check)
- Memoryreduction (approx. 40%) to store beam element results.
APM Studio
Pre-and-postprocessorof 3Dsolid and shell models for finite element analysis
- Meshalgorithmsenhancement.
- Some modifications in STEP files import to make some errors correction.
APM Shaft
Shat and axle calculation and design module
- Some improvements in calculation algorithm. Some factors are selected more precisely.
- New object “fit” is added to take into account the required stress concentrator.
